E2606 series stationary gas detectors are designed for air quality
monitoring, control of gas concentration and prevention of gas
leakages in confined spaces. Can be detected combustible
(methane, butane, hydrogen, etc), toxic (carbon monoxide, VOC,
ammonia, etc) gases or oxygen deficiency.
Oxygen detector is designed for providing human safety in
storages, in confined and underground rooms and places in danger
of oxygen extrusion by another gas.
Depending on the version, the gas detector E2606 is supplied either
with metal-oxide or electrochemical gas sensing element.
Electrochemical sensor is more sensitive, selective and accurate
but has much shorter lifetime than metal-oxide sensor.
Analog output of the gas detector provides connection to a logger or
a controller. RS485 interface with Modbus RTU protocol allows
direct digital Fieldbus networking of up to 31 detectors. Relay output
enables directly to set off alarm siren or forced ventilation and to
control the appropriate actuator mechanism, e.g. to switch a
solenoid valve. Alarm setpoint should be set lower than the lower
explosive limit of detectable gas or in case of toxic gas lower than
permissible limiting concentration according to application.
In normal mode the instrument's LED is on. When gas concentration
exceeds alarm level, LED starts blinking, internal buzzer
starts beeping and output relay contacts switch over. The instrument
returns to normal mode after gas concentration drops below
release level.
